The vectir Windows control feature lets you control various features of the Windows operating system. The Windows control support is
provided by the Windows control plugin, WinControl.dll. The latest version of this plugin is available on the vectir
website. The version number of the Windows control plugin is available on the 'About' tab of the Windows control setup dialog.
To update to a newer version of the Sound plugin, follow these steps:
- Download the latest version of the Windows control plugin from the Vectir website.
- Close Vectir.
- Locate the Vectir install location and open the Vectir\Plugins\System folder.
- Replace the existing WinControl.dll file with the newer one that you have just downloaded.
- Open Vectir again and the updated Windows control plugin should be ready to use.
- Shutdown PC - Shutsdown your PC after this command is received three times in a row. The on screen display
will show how many times this command has been received and when your PC is being shutdown.
- Standby - Puts your PC into standby after this command is received three times in a row. The on screen display
will show how many times this command has been received and when your PC is being put into standby.
- Logoff - Logs off the current user after this command is received three times in a row. The on screen display
will show how many times this command has been received and when your PC is logging off.
- Screen Saver On/Off - Turns your PC's screensaver on or off.
Note: There is currently an issue with Windows Vista whereby the screensaver On command will only work the first time.
i.e. you can turn the screensaver on and off but not on again.
